Diana K. Pfaff
A 20-year hospitality industry veteran, Diana Pfaff serves as the Vice President of Marketing Communications for the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau. She oversees all marketing, advertising, research and communications initiatives of the official destination marketing organization for Irving, Texas, which represents nearly 80 hotels and 14,000 rooms. She is also responsible for planning and executing the marketing communications initiatives of the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, a 275,000-square-foot facility which opened in January 2011.
Diana is immediate past chair of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council and current chair of the North Texas Tourism Alliance. She has served on the membership committee for Destination Marketing Association International, and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America Travel and Tourism Section, Press Club of Dallas, and Hospitality Sales and Marketing International, an organization that has awarded Diana’s team with 18 Adrian Awards for Outstanding Travel Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Campaigns.
A native of Irving, Diana has chaired numerous charity galas and is past president of the Irving Schools Foundation Board of Directors; vice chair of the Irving Healthcare Foundation Board at Baylor Scott & White; treasurer of the DFW Humane Society Board; and Advisory Board member for New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton’s Play it Forward Foundation, which has netted her status as an official member of “Who Dat Nation.” An avid sports fan, she also supports the Red Raider Club at her alma mater, Texas Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Public Relations.
Diana is a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) and has been honored as an Irving Independent School District Outstanding Graduate as well as an Irving Schools Foundation Fellow. In 2015 she received the President’s Award for exceptional volunteer service from the DFW Humane Society.
